Piercing Aftercare Instructions.
Aftercare instructions are going to vary and not everyone follows the same method. Please follow the instructions given to you by your piercer.

1. Wash your hands THOUROUGHLY before touching your piercing.

2. Soak the piercing by spraying saline directly on the piercing, or hold a gauze soaked pad over the area for about 60 seconds.
(For best results heat up the solution to a calm warm temperature. Do not use while hot!)

3. You may need to use a q-tip or gauze pad to clean away any debris or "crusties" that may have collected around the piercing.
It's not necessary to rinse this away, however, if you do, make sure it's with clean water.

4. If your jewelry is threaded, make sure your balls are tight. Remember, righty tighty, lefty loosey!

5. For oral piercings, use mouthwash twice a day if you do not already.

What to Avoid!​
​
Avoid touching your piercing, unless you are cleaning it.
Avoid oral contact or contact with other people's body fluids.
Avoid using any ointments/ aftercare products not recommended by your piercer.
Avoid getting lotion, makeup, or hair around your piercing.
Avoid hot tubs, pools, lakes or rivers until the piercing is fully healed. In the event that this is unavoidable be sure to use a waterproof/ breathable bandage such as tegaderm or secondskin.
